Congratulations — the homelab is open to you!

To unlock everything, let's set up your access. The whole thing is quick and painless — it'll take just a moment. :)

Install the WireGuard app

Windows / macOS / otherwireguard.com/install

Generate your configuration

Paste in the values I send you through a channel other than this page. I'll fill in the rest (DNS, addresses, endpoint) for you automatically.

Everything happens locally in your browser. Your private key never leaves this device — the page sends no data anywhere.

Scan it in the WireGuard app → Add tunnel › Create from QR code

On your phone? Download the file and in the app choose Add tunnel › Import from file or archive.

Turn on the profile and check

Import the configuration into the app (QR code or file) — the profile will be named apps.
Save it and turn the profile on with the toggle.
Open home.dezeroku.com — it should now load normally.

Have a look around and start signing in to whichever apps interest you, using the login and password you were given.

💡 Good to know

The VPN profile can stay on all the time — that's no problem. Only the traffic that has to reach the server goes through it; everything else is still sent the "normal" way.

The charm of technology is that it likes to break. If my server ever goes down (e.g. a power cut), you might stop being able to open normal websites — it'll show up as a looong load that ends in failure. If that happens, just turn the VPN profile off and see whether that helped.
